With over a decade of experience in videography, my journey began with a simple passion for gadgets and technology. What started as filming personal POV content with a GoPro has evolved into a career built on continuous learning, skill development, and embracing new tools and techniques in the field.
For the past two seasons, I've had the privilege of serving as videographer for Dundee North End FC, where every match day and training session has pushed me to grow both creatively and technically. The opportunity to capture the spirit of local football and work alongside the club's players, staff, and community has been incredibly rewarding.

Founded in 2024 by Ali Strachan, M.B. Videography was born from a passion for capturing life’s most meaningful moments and helping businesses tell their stories through moving images. From intimate celebrations like weddings and christenings to dynamic corporate events and polished social media commercials, we’ve had the privilege of covering a diverse range of projects across Scotland. Based right here in Dundee, our roots are firmly planted in the local community, but we’re never limited by location – we’ve traveled from the rolling highlands to coastal towns, working with clients across every corner of the country to bring their visions to life on screen.
At M.B. Videography, we pride ourselves on maintaining complete creative control over every project we take on. Every single frame of footage is captured by our own dedicated team, ensuring consistent quality and a personal touch that reflects our unique style. From initial shoot to final edit, all work is completed entirely in-house, we never outsource to third parties. This hands-on approach allows us to build strong relationships with our clients, collaborate closely on their goals, and deliver finished videos that exceed expectations every time.

At M.B. Videography, we are proud to exclusively use the Panasonic range of cameras, a choice driven by their exceptional reliability, image quality and versatility across all shooting conditions. Our primary setups include the Panasonic Lumix GH5 – renowned for its stunning 4K capabilities and robust performance in challenging lighting – the professional-grade Panasonic HC-X1500, which delivers broadcast-quality footage perfect for corporate events and formal occasions, and the Panasonic Lumix G85, our go-to camera for smooth, agile handheld work that captures natural, dynamic moments with ease.
To ensure we can cover every angle imaginable, we complement our Panasonic cameras with top-tier DJI equipment. Our DJI Mini series drones let us capture breathtaking aerial footage, from sweeping landscape shots at outdoor weddings to impressive bird’s-eye views of corporate venues across Scotland. For action-packed scenes or immersive point-of-view shots, we use the DJI Action 5 Pro, which handles everything from fast-paced movement to water-based filming with remarkable clarity. Whether we’re shooting high in the sky above the Highlands, on the ground in bustling city spaces, or even capturing content below the water’s surface, our carefully selected gear ensures we deliver exceptional results in any environment.
